Ken Skehan's Natural Abstract Limited Edition Photographic Prints
Ken first had the idea to build a collection of images created from subjects in the natural world while flying in a small plane over the Great Barrier reef. Images he takes in the prevailing light conditions are abstracted to various degrees. Sometimes mother nature needs no help at all to create a perfect abstract. Other shots benefit from creative interventions to produce a pleasing image. The origin of the final image should be discernible from the title.
Val Skehan's Limited Edition Prints from Original Artworks
You can tell how Val has greatly expanded her range of painting styles from the picture of The Infant Thames - almost photographic in its faithful reproduction of the river near where we live in the first village on The Thames - compared to Parrot Tulips, which signals a much more free-flowing approach she has brought to many of her recent works.
Ken + Val's Collaborative Original Hand Finished Prints.
Ken had the idea to combine their respective talents after a customer asked for a Natural Abstract to be reproduced on canvas. He realised in that format there was scope to add a further dimension to the depth of the image, by overpainting parts of the print with acrylic paint, with Val adding further artistic interpretation as well as texture.
