This holds special memories as it was not only a remarkable experience but was also my introduction to photography. Amateur Photographer commissioned an idea I submitted to write an article about a photographic novice - me at the time - learning to use a great camera in a spectacular location. I'd just signed up for a charity trek to Everest Base Camp and was thinking of ways to raise money. Canon provided a camera for me to work with. I got hooked, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Grateful thanks to Tim Foster and Claire Forrrester of my clients ReedSmith who arranged for me to have the privilege of photographing from the top of Broadgate Tower in the heart of the City of London. A clear evening was a stroke of luck. Even with my heavy tripod it's windy at 34 floors up!
