Everest sunset - at 15000ft
6pm - at the end of a long day's trek to Tyangboche monastery, the clouds below Everest burned red and gold as the sunlight disappeared beneath the mountains.

Namche Bazaar 3
Precariously perched 12000ft up in the Nepalese Himalayas, Namche Bazaar serves the communities higher on the route to Everest with its weekly Saturday market. Accessible only on foot or by helicopter, many Nepalese trek three days to market then three days home again. The properties are all constructed from stone hewn out of the mountainside by hand, topped with colourful corrugated iron roofs.
Portballintrae Strand, Northern Ireland
Even on a wet and stormy weekend in Northern Ireland, the Causeway Coastal Route from Londonderry to The Giant's Causeway World Heritage Site and beyond affords splendid views of cliffs, beaches and coves under dramatic skies, to rival many a far flung destination. Looking acros Runkerry Strand towards Portballintrae on a July early evening.
